Thrissur Pooram 2013 - A prelude




Thrissur Pooram Festival - The splendid and most colourful temple festival in Kerala dates back to 1798, is celebrated on the pooram day in the month of April. . On April 21st the Gaja veranmar  (majestic elephants) would grace the festival ground Capariosned to add the magnanimity of the 'panchavadhyam' during the madathil varavu and later the  'illanjithara melam'  rendered by over 200 artists. This would be followed by the Kudamatam - an eye catching attration at Pooram and the Spectacular fireworks in the night.
